This is the current / 10th generation Honda Accord Sport in Crystal Black Pearl with the higher-performance 2.0L turbo engine and rare 6-speed manual transmission. For the motoring enthusiast, this spec – Sport 2.0T 6MT – is the sweet spot in the line-up. Simply stated: This is the spec for those who desire Honda reliability & sensibility who enjoy engaging, spirited driving in a sports sedan form-factor.
The 252 HP 2.0T engine is the detuned version of the turbo 2.0L engine that powers the stellar current-generation Civic Type-R hot hatch. 2020 received improvements in the infotainment system as well as Honda Sensing and perhaps most importantly was the final year that the Accord was available with the rare slick-shifting manual transmission. The shift action is precise and buttery – admittedly not quite as brilliant as that in my S2000 or NSX – but engaging and almost completely unexpected in an understated sedan. Within enthusiast circles, this spec is known as the "Dad Type-R" (http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php/215024-NSX-Garage-Stable-Mates).
No accidents. The condition is mint. I typically keep this car in my garage or at least under covered parking when a garage is not available. The 19" wheels are in perfect condition with zero curb rash. The majority of the miles were easy and verifiable highway miles. Perhaps under 4,000 miles total logged commuting / errands. I split my time between Austin, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona. According to my records, I've logged just over a dozen one-way trips in this car – each being 1,000-1,400 miles depending on the route miles and consisting mostly of relatively empty I-10. Of course, prior to COVID, I'd simply take a direct flight; however, with this Honda, I'd set the cruise control (perhaps at a speed that would exceed the velocity required to send Doc Brown's DeLorean back in time) and completed many of the trips in a single-shot / one day – which speaks to the comfort and ease Honda Accords are know for.
We all know of the Honda Accord's reputation and that it's a record 30-time Car & Driver 10Best Award winner. Full-specs and comparisons are easily found online so I will not enumerate them here and instead provide these links:
This car is 100% stock. I added the following accessories:
This car is up-to-date on recalls & warranty is good through January 2023 or 36,000 miles (January 2025 or 60,000 miles for powertrain).
